Our specialty at Stonehouse Sound is taking our expertise and technical resources to wherever they are needed: whether that is the concert hall, church, studio, living room or cabin. No matter the venue we pay attention to the entire recording chain from microphone all the way to the recorder to ensure the sound captured is done so in a resolution and format that will reproduce the details of the performance and best suit the music.
Recording is a very important stage of music production. The writers, producers, directors and/or conductors decide on overall arrangements and general sound of the music. The Engineer chooses the best means of capturing the resultant performances. With intelligent selection and placement of microphones, careful choice of microphone preamplifiers and the means of recording, the engineer captures the essence of the music. When using digital recording systems, the critical step of converting the performance from analogue sound into the digital domain for editing, mixing and mastering, has a huge impact on the sound. Careful selection of top notch converters should always be taken.
